Doggydaddy's Den: DoggyDaddy's Dailies 1/19/17

Today might have been the nicest day so far here in sunny Florida for us. I played an early round of golf, had two birdies on my way to a nice round of 79. Best so far.

Then went right to the beach for 3 hours of relaxing and snoozing with my beautiful wife.

Thursday morning I leave with my son for a long drive to Tampa to see my brother and his son, who are having a great time at Yankee fantasy camp.

It might slow down my blogging. But I am bringing my laptop, so it might be a matter of giving up some sleep. Hey, I've done that before.

Right now, I'm tired and so is Logan.

Here is my UConn/Tulsa Post Game Report.

In UConn's victory over Tulsa, Katie Lou Samuelson scored 34 points on 18 shots and 1 free throw. Seven of her 13 baskets were worth three points. Overall, KLS went 13-18 or 72.2%. Her six baskets inside the three arc and seven outside showed her complete scoring repertoire. For the season, she has scored 363 points on 256 shots and 56 free throws. So, Katie Lou has 363 points on 312 total opportunities to score. The is a positive difference of 51 more points than attempts to score.

The diva from Tennessee, known locally as DDD, has scored 248 points on 228 shots and 70 free throws. So her 248 points come from 298 tries to score. Her difference is negative 50. What about other hot shot scorers? Well, everybody's All American, Kelsey Mitchell, has scored 454 points and averages 22.7 points per game. But, she has taken 355 shots and 100 free throws. So, her 454 points have come from 455 opportunities to score. That would be a difference of negative 1. Thanks, but I'll take Lou..

Katie Lou is not the only Husky with "scoring efficiency." Napheesa has scored 329 points on just 205 shots and 63 free throws. So her 329 points come from only 268 opportunities to score. That is a positive difference of 61.

By the way, Kia and Saniya are +10 in this measurement and Gabby is even at 0. Her 204 points come on 160 shots and 44 free throws.

UConn shares the ball, makes the extra pass and takes better shots. The result is more points per scoring attempt. And an undefeated record...
