Blogging from Florida for the next 38 days. I had a LATE night New Year's eve and into the morning so this is the first chance I had to post at 9:00 a.m.
It will be brief but a good start to the new year!!!

UConn is playing at 1:00, so here is the UConn/Central Florida Pre Game Report. in case you haven't seen it yet.

The reason my blog is so late is that we were at Billy Joel New Years Eve concert at the BBT Center in Ft. Lauderdate. My son and daughter in law surprised us. I mean really surprised us! He set the GPS in the car and when we got there, he texted us to look in the glove box. We were shocked when we saw the tickets. So lucky!
It was such a great concert. Billy Joel is still amazing. He was in great voice and such a nice guy in how he interacted with his fans.
I hope everyone had a great and safe New Years celebration!!!!!!

Everyone is following UConn's 87 consecutive victory streak. But, there are a number of other streaks on the line when the Huskies play UCF on Sunday.
1. UConn has won 30 straight road games dating back to the Stanford loss. A win vs UCF breaks a tie with Notre Dame for a new record of 31.
2. The Huskies have won 99 straight true road games vs teams not ranked in the AP poll. UConn last loss to an unranked team was in 2004.
3. UConn has won 115 straight games against unranked opponents, including home, away and tournament games. Last loss was to St Johns in 2012, by 57-56.
So there are at least four streaks on the line for the UCF game on Sunday..!!
Go Huskies..!!
