A really nice day today. I watched my brother and nephew again Friday morning play at the Yankee Fantasy Camp. They won 17-9 in a slugfest. Ok...maybe no...more like a lot of singles and errors...lol.
Made the long drive back from Tampa to Boynton Beach and then went to my beautiful granddaughter on the bimah (stage) at her synagogue with the 1st and 2nd graders.
Then out to a great barbecue place called the Pig Sty for dinner. Great brisket, pulled pork, smoked wings. Awesome! I know, not kosher!

It's PAC12 night on Fridays so all the scores I would usually link are late games. So look for those Saturday morning.
Only a few UConn links two days out from the next game. Disappointing. But have no fear. Here is my UConn/Tulane pregame report.

By David in Naples!!!!!
Last season Gabby Williams started 12 games and Napheesa Collier started 9. Both appeared in every one of UConn's 38 games and played 708 and 653 minutes respectively. Gabby and Pheesa both had very respectable statistical contributions to UConn 11th National Championship. This year, in just 17 games, Williams and Collier are lighting the stat sheet on fire. Consider some of this season's stats vs a whole season's worth from last year.
1. Gabby had 51 assists last year and 13 blocked shots. This season, she already has 86 assists and 21 blocked shots.
2. Napheesa scored 258 points in 38 games in 2015-16. This year, already at 329 with a 19.4 game average.
3. Last season, Gabby and Pheesa averaged 5.6 and 5.2 rebounds per game. Now, they average 8.4 and 8.3 per game.
4. Williams and Collier have started 34 combined games this year vs 21 last season.
5. Napheesa has equaled her 34 assists from last already and passed her 44 made free throws with 51.
6. Last year, Gabby or Pheesa led the team in rebounding 15 times. This season, already 16 times.
7. Gabby and Napheesa average 28.1 and 30.3 minutes played per game this year. Last season, they combined to average 33.8 minutes.
The talent was always there, just not needed as much with the Big Three. Now, they are dominating opponents with scoring, rebounds, assists and blocked shots..!!
Go Huskies..!!
