This is Hef, my son latest dog. They have three. He was named after Hugh Hefner.

Me at my son's pool. It's beautiful!!

And my handsome son Jay!!!

And of course, my beautiful granddaughters Noa and Mya

And Happy Birthday to my dear departed mom, gone 8 years now. She would have been 98 today.

Miss her like crazy!

Kia Nurse, Diana Taurasi, Bria Hartley, Megan Walker!!

It's always easy to root for the WNBA teams that have UConn players. At least for me it is. Easier than rooting for the Sun. Don't ask me why, that is how I feel.

I love watching former players in the pros. Seattle winning with Bird and Stewart leading the team was awesome.

Funny how there are more UConn players out west this year.  A lot of late nights!!

WHO???

So, if you have to pick the teams you'd like to see UConn play in the tournament, who would that be?

I'm always interested in rematches and there are two teams I'd love to see UConn play again.

First would be Tennessee. I love that UConn beat them, but it wasn't by enough! I don't think Paige would have another poor shooting game like she did in the first match up. On a neutral court? UConn wins by double digits.

Second would be Arkansas. They are a terrific team, but no way they beat UConn again. The players have mentioned that letting them score so many points was the impetus for their improved defensive posture. I would bet anything that the Razorbacks don't score over 70 points in a rematch.

I've love to see UConn play Iowa just so we get a Clark vs Bueckers match up, although Williams would probably be guarding Clark. Either way, that would be a fun game to watch.

Charlie Creme does have Tennessee in UConn's bracket right now.  And the 2/3 seeds are Indiana and Baylor. I like those match ups as well.

Who would you like to play?

Back on February 17th, UConn beat St. John's 77-32. The game wasn't close and most everyone payed well, with Christyn and Paige both scoring over 20 points. The third guard that night, Nika Muhl, was 0-2 with only 1 steal. She didn't play poorly, but that didn't stop the critics from calling for her benching. Geno reportedly had a talk with Nika and the rest is history. In the next 7 games, Nika emerged as a defensive tiger capable of scoring and running the offensive. Consider:

1. Nika scored 53 points in those next 7 games, an average of 7.6 per game.
2. She shot 19-37 overall. That's 52%.
3. Of those 37 shots, only 13 were inside the arc, but she made 9 of them for a 69% rate.
4. From 3 range, she was 10-24 or 42%.
5. Muhl had 17 steals in those 7 games for an average of 2.43 per game.
6. She totaled 16 assists over the 7 games.

The calls for her to sit have stopped. Nika is the point guard pest on defense and quietly gaining confidence in her 3 point shot on offensive. The ankle many thought was going to sideline her is just a minor inconvenience. Nika is one tough player..!

Go Huskies..!!
