Last day in Florida on the boat!!
Be home in time to see the game!!

I'm so ready....!!!!!

We leave Florida Sunday morning and get home around 1:30. Plenty of time to watch a ton of basketball. It should be a fun day.

And the cherry on top is to watch UConn play in an NCAA game again! I really like this team and their chances to do some serious damage in the tournament.

No surprise to many, Ayanna Patterson (love her last name, it's the city where I was born) committed to Geno and UConn. At 6'2" or 6'3", she is an athletic and strong forward that will thrive under Geno and the UConn system.

Notre Dame fans, who thought they had a great chance to get her verbal, are going crazy on their message board.

And Tennessee fans are praying that some of the talent on UConn will transfer out with so many great players. Sad.

All I know is the UConn roster will be loaded for several years. Another run of National Championships are not out of the question.

Patterson scores 43 points!

Player of the Week

I don't think Geno has any plans to retire anytime soon!

The strange records of some of the NCAA tournament teams continues to baffle many fans. South Carolina is a #1 seed in the Hemisfair Region. Ok, I get Alamo and River Walk Region, but what is Hemisfair? Never mind...

South Carolina's record is 22-4. Not bad, but 4 loses is high for a #1 seed. They open with Mercer, who has a sparkling 19-6 record. If SC wins ( ;) ) they play either Oregon State (11-7) or Florida State (10-8). Those two teams have 15 loses..!! And they are only the 8 and 9 seeded teams in "Hemisfair"... The #13 seed is Lehigh at 10-5, the #14 seed is Wyoming at 14-9 and #15 is Mount St. Mary's at 17-6. That is another 20 losses for the 13-15 teams.

By far the biggest headscratcher is Wake Forest at 12-12. For crying out loud, they lost to Notre Dame..!! Why are they in the Big Dance??  So, who could have been added in place of these lousy record teams? Well, Delaware is 22-4, Rice was 19-4, UT Martin is 20-6, Bowling Green is 20-6. Oops, they just lost today, so 20-7.

Bottom line, there are some teams with lousy records at the Big Dance. But I guess if parity is the goal, nobody cares...!

Go Huskies..!!
