Happy Birthday to my Mother-in-Law Ede. She would have been 99 today.
I don't think there was a better mother-in-law. I was happy to call her mom.
My sister-in-law Anne is on the left and my wife is in the middle.

Well, after my chiding of the Tennessee fans for voting over and over again, you'd think it would be beyond me to do the same for UConn players. Well, it's not..lol.
The Hoop Hall Awards is open for voting. It's a position by position ballot.
Paige Bueckers is on the list for the Nancy Leiberman Point Guard award.
Olivia Nelson-Ododa is on the list for the Lisa Leslie Center award.
I believe you can vote once a day per email address.
Here is the link.

I predicted a high scoring affair in the Maryland-Iowa game and it sure was just that. I think I called it a barn burner.
Maryland used a 29 point first quarter to take an 11 point lead and then a quick start in the third quarter to put Iowa away in the 104-84 win for the Terps to take the Big Ten Tournament Title.
What a great year for Brenda, who won the ESPN coach of the year award, and her Terrapins. They will be a tough out in the NCAA tournament.

Despite having no true Seniors, UConn has managed to play fairly well this season, if a 24-1 record and #1 ranking can be considered "fairly well." Much of the credit belongs to a group of talented freshman who lead the team in scoring (Paige), assists (Paige), field goal % (Aaliyah) and black eyes (Nika). But some credit needs to go to the two true Juniors, Christyn and Olivia. In addition to their contributions this season of points (693 combined), rebounds (294 combined) and assists (126 combined), those two have impressive career stats. Consider:
1. Olivia is currently #9 in blocked shots at UConn with 199. Just 5 more will move her into 8th place ahead of some player named Maya.
2. Christyn has scored 1,290 points for the #40 spot all-time with the Huskies. Just 9 more points will move her past Morgan Tuck into #39 spot. Number 39 is just 14 points away.
Congrats to these fine Juniors, who often don't get the credit they deserve.
Go Huskies..!!
