What a great shot taken at the Central Florida game. Recognize the young woman in middle?

Possibly the best scorer ever at UConn, Nykesha Sales. I have a personal tie to Nykesha as she is a graduate of Bloomfield High School as am I and I graduated with her Uncle Keith and was in HS at the same with her father Woody. I always followed her career closely from the time she was in HS through her pro career.

I'll be darned if she doesn't look taller than her listed 6' height. It must have been a thrill for the current team to meet a UConn legend.

A lot of top 25 games with four upsets.

No. 17 Florida State upset No. 4 Louisville. Louisville was down 21-1 to start the game. No, I didn't mistype that. 21-1. Louisville inched their way back into the game and had a 5 point lead with 4 minutes left. But FSU kept after it and took the lead back with 33 seconds left. UL missed a 3 pointer to tie with a few seconds left. FSU hit 2 free throws for the final margin of 68-63. This was only the second loss by Louisville.

Unranked BC upset Duke 60-56. Not even the due of Williams with 19 points and 9 rebounds and Stevens with 24 points and 9 rebounds could carry Duke past the Eagles. They really missed the play of Calhoun in this game. Riggs had 18 ineffectual minutes in place of Calhoun. Zero points, 1 rebounds. Boston College held them to 30% shooting and 2-11 on three's. Not ugly enough for the UGOTD award, but pretty darn ugly.

No. 22 Georgia beat No. 10 Texas A&M in another high scoring SEC game, 54-51. Finally , this overrated SEC team will be out of the top ten. They are 5-4 over their last nine games. And they have not been over 58 points in their last five games.

Unranked Purdue upset No. 23 Minnesota 90-88 in OT. Purdue had an 11 point lead and held on to it until 4 minutes left as Minnesota made a furious rally to eventually tie the game in regulation. The two teams went back and forth with leads and the game was tied then Purdue his a shot with 3 seconds left to win. This should know Minnesota out the top 25.

Crazy fight at the Auburn Alabama women's basketball game. They hit a higher percentage of punches than the did shots.

Ugly Game Of The Day

And the winner is.....drum roll.......Northern Arizona!!!

The Lumberjack were chopped down by Montana 69-42.

NAU managed to shoot 16-63 from the field and 3-12 from the three point line.

There have been worse effort, but not Thursday night.
