Minutes after the players boarded the bus they pointed out to a little boy in a wheelchair. They all came back off the bus and the boy’s mom put him on her shoulders as the team came around to say hi before getting back on the bus pic.twitter.com/UJ9pDrz5Sw

For perspective, last night's epic Elite 8 game drew more viewers (2 Million) than 13 college football bowl games did last season. https://t.co/uqZyQty53J

12 of the 24 WBB players selected for the 2020 McDonald's All American game have already changed colleges or are currently in the transfer portal; something to keep in mind with the 2022 game tomorrow https://t.co/AxOq5zdXSO pic.twitter.com/HeqgjIB3YU

I do take the broader point that the scheme storyline was big plays not stats.
To keep with that theme, suppose I was posting before the game and had a crystal ball and could tell you:
Each team will have the same number of fouls
Each team will have the same number of rebounds
BUT
NC State will out shoot us from the floor, hitting 48.5% of their field goal attempts
NC State will have more threes and shoot a higher percentage
NC State will hit more free throws at a significantly higher percentage, UConn will miss 7 or their first 8 attempts
NC State will win the block battle 7 to 2
NC State will have twice as many assists, 20 versus 10
NC State will score 87 points, more than any other opponent this year
How would you feel about our chances?
1. Paige erupted in the 2nd half & in the overtimes. Missed her first shot, then made 8 straight baskets. 6 for 6 from the free throw line. 23 points.
2. The game had 13 lead changes and 9 ties.
3. Azzi Fudd played 49 minutes & 13 seconds out of 50 minutes of game time.
4. Rebounds tied at 39-39 each.
5. Second chance points = UConn at 14, NC State at 3.
6. The Huskies scored 30 points in 10 minutes of overtime. (After playing 40 minutes in regular time.)
7. UConn went 1-7 shooting free throws early. Then 11-13 or 85% in the two overtimes.
8. UConn had 8 turnovers in 50 minutes of basketball.
9. NC State shot 48.5% for the game. UConn finished at 48.1%.
10. UConn shot 75% from the field in the two overtimes.
On to the Final Four..!!
Go Huskies..!!
