Well, it's almost here. Sunday at 8:00 on ESPN.
Here is the criteria that the Selection Committee uses for their brackets.
UConn has the No. 2 NET, No. 2 SOS in Nolan, No. 3 SOS in RealtimeRPI. All the projections have them as a 3 seed in Portland. I really hope they are wrong and they snag a 2 seed in Albany.

Some info from Dan Connolly on next season's schedule -
UConn women’s basketball will likely take on Louisville in the inaugural Champions Classic at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn next season according to Geno Auriemma. ...The Huskies were already scheduled to face the Cardinals next season after the schools began a four-year series in December. UConn is slated to head to Louisville next season but the game in Brooklyn could change that.
Auriemma reaffirmed that the Huskies will travel to Greensboro, North Carolina to face the UNC Tar Heels next season.....
....According to Hearst CT’s Maggie Vanoni, the Huskies are “in talks” to renew their series with Tennessee next season. UConn would travel to Knoxville in 2024-25 before hosting the Vols the following year.
[Confirmed]...Home vs. the USF Bulls, on the road at Notre Dame, South Carolina, and Louisville (though that could change), and the Champions Classic in Brooklyn, which will be Dec. 7

Sarah Strong (#1 in ‘24) is now down to three schools: Duke, North Carolina, and UConn.

HUGE Sarah Strong news. She has cut her list to three teams, UConn, Duke and North Carolina.
Not what I expected. It really felt like SC was in it for sure.
So, who would be her incoming classmates at each school?
Duke - No. 9 Toby Foriner 6'2" Forward, No. 19 Arianna Robinson 6'4" Forward, No. 83 Jannesa Cotton, 6'2" Wing
North Carolina - No. 30 Biana Thomas 6'5" Post, No. 68 Jordan Zubich 5'11" Guard
UConn - No. 4 Allie Ziebell 5'10" Guard, No. 18 Morgan Cheli 6'2" Guard
Duke a a great class. NC is an ok class. UCon has No. 4 and the underranked No. 18.
Let's go back to 2023
Duke - No. 3 Jayden Donovan 6' Guard, No. 27 Oluchi Okananwa, 5'7" Guard, No. 28 Delaney Thomas
North Carolina - No. 4 Cierra Tooney 6'3 Post, No. 30 Reniya Kelly, 5'5" PG, No. 90 Rylee Grays, 6'3" Post
UConn - No. 6 KK Arnold 5'9" PG, No. 15 Ashlynn Shade 5'10" Guard, No. 41 Qadence Samuels 6' Wing
Only two players, but UConn clearly has the best two players. Still love Tooney but a year off, well we know how that goes.
I'd do the other years but it's not really that close.
I know this is really arrogant, but next years roster for UConn (if healthy) is leaps and bounds better than Duke and North Carolina. Can Strong do what the two best freshman from last year, Watkins and Hidalgo, and propell them into the Top Ten? Right now Duke is in "others receiving votes with 2 and UNC is not even mentioned.
The Huskies, missing HALF their roster, is still a 2-3 seed and has a change for another final four.
It just seems like there is no choice. UConn will be the favorite next season for an NC. With or without Strong. I'd rather it be with her.

On his last radio show, Geno Auriemma spoke about the two incoming freshmen.
On Cheli: “She defines that player that doesn't have a position and plays the game of basketball. She just plays basketball and it doesn't matter. She's a little bit like Paige (Bueckers) in that regard. You don't know whether she's a point guard, a two guard, a small forward, a 6-2 rebounder — you don't know. You just watch her play and she impacts the game in so many different ways. It's like recruiting a couple players when you recruit somebody like Morgan because you can slot her in so many different spots.”
“Allie is the typical kid who doesn't think they will ever miss a shot in their whole life and is a sneaky, phenomenally good one-on-one player with the ball in her hands. She can figure out how to get a layup or an open three about as good as anybody that I've seen. It's fun to watch when she's playing, because you look at her and you go, ‘No, she can't do that.’ And after the game you go, ‘Well she just did.’ So it's really, really fun to watch.”

Lou Lopez-Senechal spreading UConn around the globe!!
Translated from an Instagram Post -
French international Lou López Sénéchal has made a surprise visit to a training session of the women's children's team that will represent Hozono Global Jairis in the Huelva Mini Cup.
The Endesa Women's League player has encouraged the little girls to continue playing, whether they dream of being professional players or not. Furthermore, she has told them about her experience in basketball since she was a child, emphasizing that they should not put pressure on themselves: “Ten years ago I would never have imagined being a professional player, and it's okay if you don't know what you want to do now either. If at some point you want to dedicate yourself to this, you will know.”
López Sénéchal has told of her experience at the most successful university in history, UConn, from which world-known stars such as Sue Bird, Maya Moore, Diana Taurasi and Breanna Stewart have emerged. Thus, the girls have been able to appreciate the merit of having competed in the NCAA in Connecticut.
The Mexican-French woman told them that, not being American, she had to make her own way to play in the American university league: “I made my own videos playing and sent them to more than 200 universities. If I have made it to the NCAA, you can too.”
In an act of powerful generosity, Lou wanted to give away the clothes she has from UConn to the girls at the quarry. The garments, with a high sentimental value for the player, are also highly valued by basketball fans given the fame of the team.
MVP on and off the court.
