Providence Season to Date
A tough go for the Friars. They have now lost 7 of their last 8 games only beat last place Xavier. And none of those loses were against UConn, Marquette and Creighton, the best teams in the league.

Game Analysis
Olivia Olson is the begining, the middle and the end for Providence. She leads the team in scoring at 14.2 PPG, rebounding at 8.8 RPG, FG percentage at 53.5%, takes the most shots, the most foul shots, and most blocks. The 6'3" junior is just a terrific player.
I check prior box scores and the stats to see who the starters are. I gave up after looking at at the prior few games. I don't think the coach knows who the starters are until just before the opening tip. The Friars have started 10 different players and countless combinations. I listed the one from the most recent game.
So, instead of doing a player review, I'll just share the bottom line. Team stats.
Providence shoots 41.0% from the field, 31.5% on threes, 67.7% from the FT line.
They have 346 assists and 582 turnovers. Just a horrible ratio. That's .6 for those who care.
UConn won the first match up 85-41. UConn jumped on the Friars by 19 in the first quarter and 18 in the third quarter. It was only because Geno took his foot off the accelorator that kept the score at a 44 point margin.
Olsen ended up with only 6 points although she did add 13 rebounds. Farrell was the only double digit scorer with 12 points.
Leading the way for UConn was Ashlynn Shade who scored 17 points to lead the team going 7-13 from the field and 3-8 on threes. She added 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 steals. She also had zero fouls. KK was great again scoring 16 points on 7-12 shooting and added 3 assists and 2 rebounds. And she was all over the court against on defense. She had 8 steals to lead the Huskies to a season high 20.
A strange stat. Providence outrebounded UConn by a 45-39 margin.
Final Prediction
I can't imagine this game going much different than the first match up. However, Providence is a very physical team and they are playing at home. Hopefully the refs have control of the game. I'm guessing it will be closer than the first game.
