Straight from the Dog
Another shake up for the seedings.
AP No. 4 Ohio State and the No. 2 one seed in the last NCAA reveal lost in the Big Ten quarterfinals to unranked Maryland 82-61.
So, it was a loss in the quarter finals. And it was a 21 point loss. To an unranked team. They previously lost their regular season finale to Iowa.
They will drop somewhere to the 2 seed line. Is that enough punishment for losing their last two games of the pre-NCAA tournament season?
This complicates things for the Committee. Again.
And late news, No. 12 Indiana was eliminated from the Big Ten tournament in the quarterfinals getting spanked by unranked Michigan 69-56. That could put them out of their Top 16 spot in the brackets.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Two teams I really don't like....ok, hate....won in their conference tournament today.
No. 14 Notre Dame used a big second quarter to pull ahead of No. 24 Louisville and was never threatened after that in winning 77-68.
Freshman sensation Hannah Hidago scored 21 points, but had a tough shooting game. She was 5-16 from the field and 0-2 on threes. She also had 5 turnovers. But as usual she got to the free throw line a ton and went 11-14.
The game was a real foul fest. I hate games like this. Notre Dame was 24-30 on free throws and Louisville was 19-27. Between the two teams they had 45 fouls called. ZZZZZzzzzz.........
Tennessee beat up on Alabama winning 83-61. To me this shows the weakness of the bottom half of the SEC and I don't understand how Charlie SECreme has 9 SEC teams in the tournament.
