More golf today for me!!! Not a great score with an 87, but that's what happens when you three putt 4 times.

We moved into our condo today and it feels great. I got home from golf and we were totally unpacked! What a great wife I have.

Dinner out at a great deli 3 G's. Hot corned beef, potato knish and a diet coke! Yummmy!

I watched the last few minutes of the Tennessee/Auburn game and boy, are the lady vols lucky. Freshman Renna David made a banked in three pointer with .5 seconds remaining in the game for a 64-61 win. Unbelievable. Jamie Nared hurt her hip in this game and missed the last 4 minutes of the game. Her status is unknown for Friday's game against South Carolina.   

Tennessee was able to win despite their freshman guards playing like well.....freshman guards. Between the two of them, Westbrook and Hayes played 53 minutes and scored 9 points with 6 assists and 11 turnovers. They were a combined 4-11 from the field 1-4 on threes.

I hope Nared is ok, but if she can't go and Wilson can for South Carolina, I see a big win for the Gamecocks.

With the regular season over and UConn sporting a 29-0 record, it is time to review the most amazing (or weird) stats from the team. For example, it is still hard to understand why Katie Lou only has 4 blocked shots. She is 6'3" and guards smaller players. One would think in her 24 games there would be more blocked shots. Not a criticism, just noting the stats. As an aside, Mikayla Coombs has 2 blocked shots in 1/5th the minutes. Here are some other head-scratchers:

1. Azura is the best free throw shooter on the team at 82.6% accuracy (minimum 20 tries). ;)
2. Crystal only has 23 free throw attempts, Megan Walker has 42.
3. Napheesa has 91 assists and will go over 100 this season. Kia has 87.
4. Mikayla has 17 steals in 154 minutes. If she played Crystal minutes, she would have 85 and lead the team by 10 over Gabby.
5. Both Kia and Katie Lou have exactly 72 made threes. Last season, Kia had 73 for the whole season.
6. Crystal has an assist/turnover ratio of 2.75 with 110 assists and only 40 turnovers.
7. Alexis has 12 three-point tries in just 79 minutes. Bad news, she has made only 1, but is going to get much better.
8. Pheesa has 50 steals, 50 personal fouls, 54 blocked shots, 59 free made free throws and shoots 57% from the field.
9. Kyla is the only player with more offensive rebounds (19) than defensive rebounds (14). Minimum 10 rebounds.
10. Gabby leads the team in rebounds (222), assists (152) and steals (75). She is last in made three-point shots at 0-5.

AAC tournament starts Sunday at 6:30 pm.
