Hopefully, UConn will have a great game against Duke and then face the winner of the Buffalo vs South Carolina contest. If the Huskies do beat Duke and play again on Monday, several milestones could be reached for the Core Four, Gabby, Katie Lou, Kia, and Napheesa. (and Crystal too...)  Here is what to watch for:

1. Katie Lou is just 12 points behind Shea Ralph for 16th place on the all-time scoring list.
2. Napheesa is only 30 points away from Swin Cash for 20th place on that list.
3. With 9 more three-pointers, Katie Lou would tie Ann Strother for 4th place on the all time three-point field goal list at 290.
4. Kia only needs 4 threes to tie Bria Hartley for 8th place on the made threes list at 259.
5. With 10 steals, Gabby will tie Maya Moore for 4th place at 310.
6. With 1 blocked shot, Pheesa will have 8th place with 184 blocks. Next up would be Maya at 204.
7. Gabby needs 17 rebounds to reach 1,000. She is already in 7th place all time.
8. Crystal is 2 points away from 300 for the season.
9. With 5 more assists, Kia will reach 100 assists for the 4th year in a row.

Milestones are fun to pass, but the key at this point is just to win and advance. Still, it is worth noticing that as fans, we are witnessing history every UConn game..!!

Go Huskies..!!

Read Doggy's great analysis on the upcoming Duke game, if you haven't already. Just to add to his thoughts, here is Duke's NISE and the NISE for several key players.

1. Duke NISE = -107 (yes, negative 107)

Two interesting points to make. First, Duke has scored 2,212 points this season in 32 games. UConn scored 3,053 points in 34 games. 8-) Second, Duke makes 45.9% of all their shots from the field and 69% of their free throws. UConn makes 53.5% and 77.5%. :D

2. Lexie Brown NISE = +8  Leading scorer for Duke by a wide margin. Took 189 threes, only made 37.2%.

3. Rebecca Greenwell NISE = +31  Makes 45% of her threes. The same number of assists (44) as turnovers Azura had for UConn..!!

4. Erin Mathias = -25  Started all 32 games, tried 1 three point shot.
