Here is my UConn/Memphis Post Game Report.
******************************************************************************
I was watching the Michigan/Maryland game on the Big Ten network and I just love Katelynn Flaherty's game. She is so nifty with the basketball. Michigan plays the game like I like it to be played. They rebound and run, run, run. They run off made baskets. It's fun to watch. Both Maryland and Michigan pass the ball really well, so it was a pleasure to watch compared to some of those ugly SEC games. Maryland pulled away for a solid win on the road.
It's only wishful thinking at this point but I would love for UConn to get into the Big Ten if they decide to expand. Maryland and Ohio State would make great in conference rivals. Ahhh....to dream!

To piggyback on my blog the other day where I called for No. 22 Duke to fire their coach, the Blue Devils were upset Thursday night by unranked North Carolina State 65-62 on their home court. This loss should push Duke out of the top twenty-five for the first time in I don't know how long....a long time. They are now 12-6 and 1-3 in the ACC.
Time for her to go.

No. 20 Florida lost to unranked Georgia 71-61. I mentioned how they got pushed as high as 20 when they were unranked and the last team in the "receiving votes" area with 3. I also said they were unfairly pushed because they beat an overrated Tennessee team. For some strange reason, you get more value from beating them than most other ranked teams.
This lose basically proves my point. They aren't that good.

Tennessee had an 11 point lead at the half before being outscored 22-8 in the third quarter. They were outscored 31-12 in the second half where they eventually were down 54-44 with 3 minutes left in the game. Tennessee made a few desperation threes to make a comeback attempt but they finally went down 64-59.
This is only the third win ever for Arkansas against Tennessee in 29 outings. Jimmy Dykes is doing his best to create a solid program. Good win for him. And a terrible loss for Tennessee.
Another terrible shooting night for a terrible shooting team. Tennessee shot 34% from the field and 5-19 on threes. They turned the ball over 24 times.
Dykes said that Tennessee is not a good shooting team so they packed it in. It worked.
Now, the 11-5 Lady Vols better drop in the poll more than one spot. If not, they will drop more after they play No. 3 Notre Dame on Big Monday.
