Overview
Memphis, after playing UConn on January 13th and losing 86-46, they lost to SMU 58-49 for a three game losing streak. But after that tough loss to SMU the had their best game of the season and maybe in the AAC with an overtime win over ranked South Florida 88-87. They then won two more, beating Tulsa and Central Florida for a three game winning streak coming into this game for UConn.
Memphis has been led by guard Ariel Hearn who scored 33 points against USF and solid team efforts in winning their next two games. They should be feeling pretty good about themselves after playing UConn much better in the last three quarters of their last matchup, only losing each quarter by 5, 6 and 6 points.
UConn is on a big time roll, beating Temple, UCF, SMU and Tulsa by an average of almost 57 points. And most of those without their second leading scorer Morgan Tuck. Stewart has been amazing in this stretch, playing the best basketball of her formidable career. That being said, it's been a total team effort, and Geno has been spreading out the playing time to all 9 in the regular rotation. Since they played Memphis, their scoring average has risen 2.1 ppg and their defensive points allowed has dropped 2.6 ppg.

Game Analysis
What I said in the first game analysis still holds true "Memphis has four players over 6' that will see time. None of them are over 6'1". This should mean a big game for UConn on the inside. Memphis has one big scorer in Areal Hern and she is a terrific player. But she is a volume shooter and she has really struggled this year."
They have lots of upper classmen experience starting 3 seniors and two juniors.
Memphis struggles in the first half in the first UConn game but once the second quarter started, UConn. The second half was more of the same but the poor play infiltrated the defense as well. After allowing Memphis to shot only 24% in the first half, they allows the Tigers to shoot 50% on 12-24 shooting.
UConn will look to continue their excellent play and I'm sure Geno will remind the team how they let Memphis have a great second half in the last matchup. Not something that Memphis wants.
Memphis will look to do what has been somewhat successful for other teams. Pack the defense in the paint and hope UConn misses the outside shots. But lately, even if UConn is not shooting well from the outside, they have manage to score well anyway. Their offense is really clicking.
Final Prediction
UConn should stay on a roll and have a big game at home against Memphis. This game should be even more of a blowout than the last one these two teams played.
UConn by 55+.
