Team Overviews
UConn is coming off a terrific performance against Tulsa. With their starting point guard, Moriah Jefferson nursing a sore hamstring (no, she didn't tear it), Saniya Chong started her first game of the season and did not disappoint. She scored a game high 18 points and added 4 rebounds and 4 assists. Tuck was terrific as well, adding 18 points. Breanna Stewart had 12 points and 9 rebounds along with 4 blocks. KLS had a breakout game with 14 points on 4-6 three point shooting. She looked very confident.
What I liked was the fact that the team went deep into the bench with 9 players getting double digit minutes. When Jefferson comes back, I bet that 10 players will be getting 10+ minutes per game.
Houston is coming off a hard-fought 74-57 loss to Memphis on Tuesday in Memphis, Tenn. Junior guard Kierra Graves led the Cougars with 11 points, while senior forward Marche' Amerson added 10 of her own. The double figures marked the fourth time this season Graves has reached 10 or more points, while Amerson now has five double-digit scoring games on the season and 47 in her career.

Houston Cougars
Ron Hughey Head Coach
Hughey accumulated a 163-154 (.514) career record in 10 seasons as an NCAA Division I assistant coach at South Carolina State, South Carolina, UCF, Rutgers, Texas and Florida State. He is a veteran of seven postseason tournaments (6 NCAA, 1 NIT) including two NCAA Second Rounds (2013, 2014), four NCAA First Rounds (2009, 2010, 2011, 2012) and one WNIT Second Round (2008).
Hughey has a good reputation as a recruiter and he put together multiple national top-15 recruiting classes at both Texas and Florida State. At Houston, he signed an eight-player recruiting class in 2014-15, including two NJCAA All-Americans and four players rated as 3-star recruits by ESPN Hoopgurlz.
Hughey brought five more highly regarded recruits into the Houston program in the early 2015 signing period. Included in the group is Lufkin, Texas, native Natasha Mack, the first ESPN Hoopgurlz national top-100 recruit of his head coaching tenure.

Game Analysis
These games are hard to analyze. UConn is just so much better in every aspect of the game.
Houston is not a good shooting team, only at 35% from the floor. They turn the ball over a lot and their assist/turnover ration is a horrid .5.
I'd be looking for players that broke out against Tulsa to continue their good play. Samuelson, Chong and Butler will see plenty of time, even if Jefferson is back in the lineup.
Like in most games in the AAC, UConn will use this as a time to give bench players plenty of minutes and work on things that Geno feels the team will need in the future, starting with the South Florida game on Sunday. This will be a good practice game for that.
Final Prediction
The margin of victory seems to be on an upward trend with UConn winning the three meetings by 50, 51 and 59 points.
Looks at the Houston season stats, I see that trend continuing.
UConn by 60+.

Great report. One correction though, the game is going to be on ESPN2.
