I don't know about you, but I'm still really pissed off about the Westbrook waiver rejection by the NCAA. I'd just chalk it up to the NCAA making one of their head scratching decisions, but with the words coming from Geno, it's clearly more than that.
Thankfully, the appeal will not involve the NCAA as a group of athletic directors will hear this case and rule on it. Hopefully the information Tennessee withheld will either be amended with all the pertinent information or the AD's reviewing the case will take the missing information into consideration. This whole thing smells. I've always thought that idea that the NCAA headed by Emerick, a former UConn employee who left on bad terms, would not use his position to screw the Huskies, but it's looking like I've been naive.
Geno's interview below pretty much says it all.

Lots of great articles about UConn and interviews with the players. Here are a few interviews. The articles are where they always are in my blog!
Someone I know noted that during Christyn's interview you could not help but notice Megan and Ania doing a shooting drill behind Christyn. They each started facing the basket in the lane, shooting with only one hand on the ball and progressing steadily backwards to the top of the key, then took 5 footers from all angles around the basket, and finally they shot layups quickly alternating right handed then left handed. In all, each player shot about 50-60 times.
Megan was fine, missing only a handful of shots, But Ania was amazing. She missed exactly 1 of her 50+ shots, and that was from the top of the key with one hand.

As most of you probably know, UConn is playing an exhibition game on Sunday at 1:00 in Gample. I hope many of you have a chance to get to Storrs to watch them in person.
In case you missed it yesterday, you can catch the game HERE. Enjoy!!!
