Well, I was hoping it wouldn't happen, but from what I have read from different message boards and facebook pages, many UConn fans have jumped off a bridge.
So many posts giving up on the season, so many posts questioning players and the coaching. The depression in the tone of the posts is palatable.
I'm looking forward to finishing the regular season with a flourish and then rumbling through the AAC tournament and then the first two rounds of the NCAA tournament. That would make them 31-3 going into the sweet 16 against a team they will be favored against.
31-3!
Can we give this team the support that they deserve?
GO HUSKIES!!!

To say the UConn shooting stats were weird last night against South Carolina is an understatement. After going 1-16 in the first period (6.3%), the Huskies rebounded to go 9-16 in the 2nd quarter. That is 56.3%. How do the same shooters have a 50% difference in accuracy moments later? Then UConn followed that up with a 50% (7-14) 3rd period. Then back to bad with the 4th period at a lousy 5-15 or 33%. Strange...
Many other stats were rather close for a one sided game. UConn out rebounded SC 40-38. Free throws made were 4 each. Blocks were close at 5-4. Their best shooter went 9-19, UConn's went 10-19. Their next two shooters went 5-14 and 6-14. The Huskies next two went 5-11 and 5-12. Assists were also close at 12 for UConn and 14 for SC. Then there are the different stats.
SC made 8 threes, UConn only 4. SC had only 7 turnovers, UConn had 15. Six SC players made threes. UConn had only one and four others (Megan, Anna, Christyn and Olivia) went 0-9 form beyond the arc. Bottom line, you can't score 2 points in the first 10 minutes and win.
Go Huskies..!!
