Not much action going on. No games to report on Friday night. So, let's look at a few of the incoming players for UConn. That's always fun!!! We've talked a lot about the class of 2020, but we have two amazing players coming in 2021.

So, an overlooked recruit or at least one that folks aren't talking about much is another 2021 addition, Saylor Poffenbarger. She is a 6'2" guard with range on her three pointer that you just won't believe.
Here is a video (sorry, I have to post just the link to the video) and some of these three pointers have to be 25-28 feet out. Very Samuelson like.

Saylor has a good handle for someone her size and a great feel for the game. She has flown under the radar, but she will be a star at UConn.

Free throws are basketball's version of the free snacks you get at Costco. Shooters get to line up their shot, no defense can bother them and you are relatively close to the basket. "Free" throws, just like "free" snacks. Here are UConn's free throw numbers for the last five years:
2019-20 71.6% (thru 8 games)
2018-19 73.4%
2017-18 76.9%
2016-17 77.9%
2015-16 80%
This season's results are down due to Aubrey missing 10 of her 26 tries and Christyn & Olivia missing 6 free throws each. But, there is also a disturbing trend over the last 5 seasons. Get to line and practice ladies..! How do opponents due against the Huskies?

2018-19 68.6%
2017-18 70.3%
2016-17 67.7%
2015-16 67.5%
I guess the free throw defense has been consistent over the years..!!
