Here is an interesting game if you are into comparable scores.

No. 6 South Carolina had a tough time with unranked Temple, beating them 78-71 in a tight game all the way through.

UConn, if you remember, beat Temple 83-54 earlier in the season.

While I do wish the South Carolina freshman center Boston had picked UConn, the talk about how good she is is really premature. In this game she was 4-14 from the field for 10 points and 8 rebounds. Meh.

Can you score 31 points and look unimpressive doing it? You can when it take 26 shots and make only 10 of them and go 0-4 on threes. She did get to the line a lot and went an impressive 11-13 on free throws. But still. Can you guess who I am talking about? Volume shooter, Chennedy Carter. More meh.

No. 20 Arizona stayed unbeaten with a 54-43 win over UTEP. I have to say, scoring 54 points for a top 20 team is not impressive. And scoring 7 points in the fourth quarter is even less impressive.

And speaking of unimpressive, No. 25 (Not for long) LSU got destroyed by unranked Oklahoma 90-68. The Sooners were on fire from deep going 11-17 on threes. Hard to beat a team when they shoot that well. LSU is just another overrated SEC team.

Sunday we could find out something about No. 17 Tennessee. They play what is usually a tough team in unranked Texas. However, like Notre Dame, they have taken a step back this season. Texas is 4-4 so far this season, and underachieving.

Tennessee should win this game handily as it is home and they are just the more talented team.

Doggy has outlined Notre Dame’s poor record this season in his pre-game report. Here are a few more embarrassing stats.
1. ND’s free throw % = 64.5% 😩
2. Fewer assists (129) than opponents ((146).
3. Fewer blocked shots than opponents...38 to 48.
4. More turnovers than assists... 166 to 129.
5. Three point shooting = 22.8%.
6. Sam Brunelle, their star freshman, is shooting 21% from outside the arc, less than 40% overall and has 10 more turnovers than assists.
