Here is my UConn/South Florida Post Game Report
*****************************************************************************
Big game tonight for the Big 12 Championship, No. 5 Baylor taking on Texas for the title.
It was a very competitive first half with Baylor taking a 40-35 lead into the locker room. Nina Davis is continuing her march to All-American status with 14 first half points.
Baylor showed they are much more than a one person team, as Davis scored only 2 points in the second half. The Bears were able to pull away from Texas, winning 75-64. As usual, Davis was a force in the paint, playing much bigger than her 5'11" height and grabbing 11 rebounds along with her 16 points.
The strangest last 30 seconds as Texas, down by 20 points, pressed and fouled to the bitter end when all Baylor wanted to do was run out the clock. Looks like I wasn't the only one that felt that way.
Mulkey was none too pleased and she specifically mentioned the Texas coach - "I hate that the game ended...but the way I look at it is I learned from the best Len Barmore and Pat Summit and when the lead is 20 and you pull all your starters, you are saying the game is over. She (pointing to the Texas bench) kept pressing to make the game closer than it was.....I just hate that the game ended that way".
I totally agree with Mulkey for a change. No need for that. Put your subs in and just let the clock run out. Geno would have called a time out, put the starters back in, broken the press for layups and then had a few words after the game. Good for Kim!

Twenty-fifth ranked Seton Hall will meet DePaul in the Big East Conference final. The Pirates defeated St. Johns 72-60 in a game Seton Hall always had under control. Boy, have they come a long way from a team that UConn beat regularly by 60-70 points twice a year. DePaul beat Villanova in a game that made it seem you were on Nova-caine, 58-55.

Ugly Game Of The Day
Tonight's UGGY award was won by Florida A&M in an amazing display of ugly shooting.
The Lady Rattlers were just awful from the field and the arc.
They shot 25% (15-57) from the field a big ZERO from beyond the arc going 0-16.
Congrats Florida A&M. Your shooting was certainly snake bitten.
