DoggyDaddy's Dailies 3/24/15

************************************************************************

DoggyDaddy's blog has passed a big milestone Monday, passing the 50,000 view mark.

That number just boggles my mind!!!

Thanks to everyone that has motivated me to do this and continue to write day after day. The end of the season is rapidly approaching and so will my daily streak of posting. I'll keep it going as long as I can find things to write about. WNBA, Recruiting, and who knows what else will pop into my head.

Keep on tuning in as UConn makes it's final run in their attempt to win another championship!!

UConn moves on with an easy victory (as I predicted) 91-55. Even with an out of sorts Stewart (do they take turns? Last game it as KML) UConn dominated with great offensive execution and defensive intensity. Look for my Post Game report soon.

So, the Albany region has UConn vs Texas and Louisville vs Dayton. This will be my first NCAA tournament game to see live. Thanks to my friend sTu, we will be making the trek to Albany on Saturday and if UConn beats Texas, we will drive back for the Elite Eight game. Dragging along one of my favorite UConn fans, Meyers this should be quite the experience.

I'll be putting together my Texas pregame report this week. They are an interesting team with some real size.

Tennessee continued their attempt to return to the final four with a victory over Pittsburgh Monday night. Bashaara Graves continued her hot play with 21 points and 11 rebounds. To their credit Pittsburgh never gave up and closed the margin to 4 points with 35 seconds left. Massengale put the game away from the foul line. Tennessee now has the challenge of beating a really good Gonzaga team on the Zag's home turf.

My pet peeve was out in full force in the UConn/Rutgers game. They made at least four Charge/Block calls that were totally wrong. I think they just love to make that move pointing in the opposite direction, blowing the whistle as they skip and point.

They seem to call the play differently every time. Let me help them out.

1. If the defender is still moving, it's a block.
2. If the offensive player picks up their dribble and THEN the defender moves in front, even if the defender is set, it's a block.

It's not that difficult. If they used replays on these calls, over 50% would be reversed.
