 ACC Tourney

In the ACC final, Notre Dame showed everyone that they are the class of the conference and have been since joining last year. The Irish beat Florida State 71-58 in a game that was close for the first 12 minutes. Florida State actually led 17-16 half way through the first half before Notre Dame went on a 14-2 run to take an 11 point lead. It was never closer than 13 points after Notre Dame had expanded the lead to 22. The Irish were led again by Jewel Loyd's 18 points and Madison Cable's 13 points off the bench.

SEC Tourney

As expected, South Carolina faced Tennessee in the SEC tourney final 62-46. The Gamecocks were led by 17 points from Tiffany Mitchell and 14 points and eight rebounds from Aleighsa Welch.

South Carolina tied with Tennessee for the regular season title but won the SEC tourney for the first time and over Tennessee was even more sweet I'm sure. This was their first championship game appearance. Tennessee was trying to win for the 18th time in 36 years but it was not to be. The 46 points was their lowest point total in tournament history. More ugly SEC ball. Why not in the championship game?

Tennessee was just terrible in this game. They missed a ton of easy shots and went only 6-12 from the free throw line. If you told me that Jordan Reynolds would lead them in scoring with 17 and no one else would have double digits I wouldn't have believed you.

South Carolina trailed by five points in the first half 26-21 but they went on an 8-0 run to take a 29-26 lead into the second half, one they would not lose. Unlike the first matchup, where South Carolina had a 10 point lead late that they almost blew, they easily put away the Lady Vols, extending the lead all the way to the end of the game.

Looks like a No. 1 seed for South Carolina and a No. 2 see for Tennessee
