UConn fans after the last game
As David pointed out (yeah, I know you read him first!) I always say UConn follows a bad game with a really good game. Against Wichita State, they took it to another level in their 124-43 win.
So many good things to talk about. Just a few highlights -
The 70% shooting in both halves was awesome, so certainly no letdown.
The frontline of Collier, Williams, Samuelson and Stevens was 33-38 from the field and 8-10 on threes.
The rest of the team was 2-10 on threes. Ok, that was a lowlight.
When Geno was asked at the half how much Dangerfield had to do with the team's ability to score 67 points he said "everything". That is enough for me. I figure that if Dangerfield played 25 minutes in the previous game, UConn scores maybe 20 more points. She is that important.
UConn had their second most points scored in a game with 124 and tied most points in a quarter with 41.
I'll try to put together a post game report, but I want to finish the Louisville pre game report first. I hate these Saturday-Monday games.
I'll just point out the law of averages.
In the last two games UConn scored 179 points, shot 65-111, 14-32 on threes, 48 assists, 26 turnovers.
58% from the field, 43% on threes, 24 assists and 13 turnovers. A little better than their average game.
