Had an uneventful flight to Dallas. It's great to spend time with my brother and sister!!! Went to the Friday night service at their synagogue and then out for some pizza. Lots of laughs!!!

Saturday we go to synagogue and then there is a party at night. We were hoping the timing would work out to take a drive to the UConn game at SMU, but it's just not going to work out!

Today @christyn2000 was officially recognized as a McDonald’s All American. Honestly, Coach Q said it best, “We’re just thankful you let us come along for the ride.”

She is just some kind of shooter and she is so motivated to be the best player in the country. Don't count her out for some big contributions next season.

Also, Olivia Nelson Ododa had a great game for her HS team in her teams winning game in the State tournament. She had 17 points, 14 rebounds, and 2 blocks. Nice.

As an aside, she had a really poor game in the previous one and immediately some joker on a message board was freaking out that she was still injured. Sigh......

18 year old Australian Ezi Magbegor looks to be honing in on her college choice for 2018. I have a really good feeling about her and UConn.

Just so you know, most recruiting services would have her in the top 3 of that class, and some might even have her No. 1 ahead of incoming UConn freshman Christyn Williams.

Right now she appears to be down to UConn, Oregon and UCLA. the west coast schools have a location advantage, but they don't have the current roster and the coaching staff that UConn has. It's official that she will be arriving this Sunday and will attend Senior night at Gampel where Williams and Nurse will be honored. I am pretty sure that neither UCLA or Oregon will give her the same experience on their visit.

Part I

UConn's free throw shooting continues to be red hot. The Huskies now have 4 players making 80% or better on their free throws. They also have an additional 5 players shooting in the 70% or better range. The best free throw shooter is actually Molly Bent at 88.9% by making 8-9 on her charity tries. My list uses a 20 attempt minimum. Here are the current free throw stats:

1. Katie Lou 81.7% on 71 tries.
2. Azura       81.5% on 65 tries.
3. Kia             81.3% on 75 tries.

4. Napheesa 77.9% on 68 tries.
5. Crystal       77.3% on 22 tries.
6. Megan       76.2% on 42 tries.
7. Gabby        71.7% on 53 tries.

8. Molly        88.9% on 9 tries.
9. Batouly     71.4% on 7 tries.

Part II

As a team, UConn is hitting 77.1% (334-433) on free throws. Even better, the Huskies free throw defense is holding opponents to 68.3% accuracy on their charity tries. 8-)

In case the SMU game gets boring, look for these milestones...

1. With 2 more points, Kia will go over 400 for the season.
2. Napheesa will pass 50 steals with her next 2.
3. Grabbing 2 more rebounds will give Katie Lou 100 boards.

4. With 1 steal, Gabby will total 70 so far this year.
5. Scoring 1 more point will put Crystal over 250 points.
6. Seven more rebounds will give Azura 200 for the season.
7. If Crystal plays 14 minutes, she will pass last year's total of 733 minutes.

Finally, by scoring 47 points, UConn will go over 2,500 for the season.
