What a great closing true home game for Kia and Gabby at Gampel Monday night. I was able to watch the ceremony on FaceBook Live. Thanks UConn!!!! We are really going to miss these two outstanding young ladies.

UConn, not surprisingly, came out a little amped up on Senior Night. Shots were either short or long and with 3 minutes left in the first quarter, it was a 10-8 game. Well, the switch went off and UConn shot out with 19 points in the next 3 minutes. Another crazy run by this explosive UConn team.

I should have more time around the pool to write up a detailed Post Game report on Tuesday. Stay tuned!

Just how good is Gabby Williams..?? Let's consider the following statistics and her place in UConn's history of great players. These fun numbers are prior to the USF game tonight.

1. Total points = 1,471 That is better than Kalana Greene, Sue Bird, and Jamelle Elliott.

2. Total rebounds = 958 That is better than Kara Wolters, Swin Cash, and Kelly Faris.

3. Total steals = 290 That is better than Shea Ralph, Renee Montgomery, and Bria Hartley.

Gabby is not done playing yet, but still ranks 26th in scoring, 7th in rebounds and 7th in steals. The only player ahead of Gabby on those three lists is Maya Moore. That is it, just Maya.

Here are some other career totals.

4. Total assists = 434 With 22 more she will pass Shea Ralph in 15th place.

5. Total blocked shots = 93 With 7 more blocks, Gabby will pass 100.

6. Total 3 pt baskets = 1 Gabby is 1-12 in 3 point shots. Ok, maybe there is one thing she doesn't do well. 8-)
