What a great game by incoming recruit Christyn Williams. Here are a couple of highlight videos.

There is a reason why she is the No. 1 recruit in the country. I can see her getting plenty of playing time next year at the shooting guard. Watch her closely. She is truly ambidextrous.

Image result for top 25

Only three top 25 games Wednesday night.

No. 6 Texas was able to handle Texas Tech 87-72. No surprise there as Tech only has 7 wins all season.  A couple of interesting stats. Five players for the Long Horns had double digit points. But they were between 10 and 13 points. Lots of points being spread out. And they had 12 players with double digit minutes. That's just NUTS!

AAC mate South Florida celebrated it's return to the top 25 win a 64-54 win over a game SMU team. Laksa, who couldn't miss for South Florida in scoring 41 points against Ohio State game down to earth, going 4-16 from the field and 2-8 on threes. Jesperson had a great game with 28 points and 10 rebounds.

In the only upset of the night, No. 23 Michigan lost to unranked Minnesota 93-87. Two weeks ago, the Wolverines were No. 13. Since then they had lost three out of four games and dropped from 13 to 21 to 23. And now it's four out of five and they should drop out of the top 25.

I missed this one!!

Statistically, Azura is playing as well as Katie Lou. Before the pitchfork and torch crowd shows up at Bokamper's, let me explain. Katie Lou has played in 20 of UConn's 25 games this season. She has been on the court for 575 minutes. Azura has played in all 27 games, but totaled only 538 minutes. So, KLS has actually played 37 more minutes than Z. Consider their stats:

1. Points - Katie Lou has scored 360 points. Z has scored 354 points. If you calculate the points per minute, Z is more productive.

2. Rebounds - UConn may not have the rebounding Samuelson, but they have the rebounding Stevens. Z has 182 rebounds, including 65 offensive boards, #1 on the team. Lou has 85 rebounds. Advantage Z.

3. Assists - Katie Lou has 74 assists versus 51 for Z. Advantage KLS.

4. Shooting % - Z has made 59.8% on all shots from the field. That includes the dismal 7-42 shooting from outside the arc. Samuelson has hit 53.2% of all her shots,  including 47.6% from three range. Z obviously shoots from much closer to the basket, but overall, she has a better shooting %.

5. Free throws- Z has made 79.7% (47-59) of her free throws. KSL has also made 79.7% of her tries from the charity stripe (51-64). Tie.

6. Turnovers - Z has more (29), but Katie Lou is nearby (25). Tie.

7. Blocked shots - Azura has 46 vs only 3 for KLS.  Clear advantage to Z.

Criticism of Azura has been relentless recently. Yet, stats say she is very productive for the Huskies..!!

I appreciate all you do and say;not much coverage here in Atlanta.
I agree with offensive comparison between Z and Lou. However,, if you take into consideration Defense there is no comparison.Lou so outshines Z.
Z has played 3 years like Lou. Z has practiced with Uconn almost two years. Lou has grown on defense. I do not she Z getting better; she is a liability on defense; just saying..

    1. That was David's numbers, not mine. That being said, I agree with you 100% on Lou's defense and that should be factored into any comparison.
