Florida!!! It's warm!!

So happy to be here. I already have an 8:06 tee time on Wednesday.

Small write up in this blog as I'm tired and need to get some sleep!

I watched the No. 20 Duke/No. 9 Florida State game on the plane (love Jet Blue) and while I really don't care who won that game, it was entertaining. I can tell you that Duke's Lexi Brown will be very high draft choice in 2018. She is a dynamic player. Very quick with terrific defensive instincts. And she can shoot the ball. She scored 30 points in this game. Rebecca Greenwell (what, has she been there 6 years?) was terrific in this game and will be drafted but she doesn't have the quickness to stick in the WNBA. Oh, Duke won this game 79-66.

I watched the first quarter of the No. 3 Baylor/No. 6 Texas game before we landed. Baylor is a good team, but UConn is better. Certainly Brown is a handful, but she disappeared for stretches. Wallace is a very good player, but I'm not sure she has seen defenders like Nurse or Williams. The Bears were able to handle Texas, who was led by McCarthy with 32 points. She had a Katie Lou type shooting night going 7-9 on threes. Baylor ended up winning 93-87 over the Long Horns.

Any time UConn scores over 100 points, current players are bound to rise on the All-Time UConn scoring list. That happened again Sunday with the 106-45 victory over Temple. Kia, Katie Lou and Pheesa all moved up. Gabby stayed in 26th place, but added 10 points to her total. Here are the latest rankings of #15-#28.

15. Ann Strother  1,699 points
16. Shea Ralph   1,678
17. Barbara Turner  1,629
18. Swin Cash  1,583
19. Kia Nurse  1,55820. Wendy Davis  1,552
21. Katie Lou  1,54222. Jen Rizzotti  1, 540
23. Cathy Bochain  1,534
24. Moriah Jefferson  1,532
25. Asjha Jones  1,502
26. Gabby Williams  1,45627. Kalana Greene  1,444
28. Napheesa Collier  1,416
Katie Lou actually moved up three spots with her 27 point effort. Kia went from 21 to 20 and Pheesa went from 30th to 28th place. Three regular season games, the AAC tournament and hopefully, six games at the big dance remain. It would be nice to get all four into the Top 20 in scoring.
