This is the pool at the place we are staying.
And this is the typical people at the pool.
It's been great so far. Thank goodness for ESPN3 and Xfinity. If I want to watch the games live I go to ESPN3 and I still record them so I can watch them later as well.
Only golfed once so far, but we are having a great time seeing friends and relatives. Weather has been wonderful.
Stay warm my Northeast friends!!!

I'm feeling pretty good right now. All season long I've been optimistic about the team but when they have a tough time, I have been understanding about the circumstances causing the poor play. You don't see me or David trashing the players. It's just not in our nature.
When we see fans on the various message boards do what we won't and say some really hurtful things about the players, we speak up about it. David's post in this blog is a good example.
I'm feeling good because Geno went on a 6 minute tirade talking about what I just wrote. I can't do it justice with my words. So just listen.

A top 10 upset Friday night in the PAC 12. That is a hell of a conference. So competitive and with so many good to great teams.
No. 7 UCLA lost in overtime to USC. The Trojans moved to 9-8 on the season with this upset win.
UCLA had a 5 point lead with 3:38 left in the game and didn't score the rest of the way allowing USC to tie the game with 58 seconds left in the fourth quarter. The Bruins had three shots at taking the lead but missed them all.
In the first overtime, USC took a three point lead with 6 seconds left on two free throws, but Natalie Chow (it seems she has been there for 8 years) hit a three pointer with 1 second left to sent it to the second overtime.
UCLA jumped out to a quick 6 point lead and maintained that, hitting a jumper to make it 66-60 with 2:39 left in the 2nd OT. USC was not to be denied as they scored the next 7 points and led 67-66 with 1:10 left in the 2nd OT. UCLA took their final lead with 45 seconds left and then USC scored the last 3 points of the game. USC missed several free throws failing to put the game out of reach but UCLA could not capitalize.
I'm sure the Bruins are kicking themselves in this game. They had their chances.

Crystal Dangerfield has now moved into 10th place on the UConn all-time assists list with 538 assists. She is only 7 assists away from passing Maya Moore(544) in 8th place. Sue Bird (585) is 47 assists away in 5th place. I bring all this up because there is a discussion going on in a nearby UConn fan site about whether Crystal is a true point guard. Seriously?? What are these people smoking??
Posters wondered about her ability to “see over” the defense given her 5’5” height. The answer is 538 assists. Others maintain that if Evina had been eligible after her Tennessee transfer, Geno would have her at point. No, see the 538 assists. One small minded moron said Crystal should be moved to the wing. Unbelievable..! Again, what about the 538 assists..?
Fortunately, Geno sees Crystal as his point guard until she graduates. Her court vision is superb, her press busting skills are 2nd to none and.... she has 538 assists..!! And she will pass Sue Bird on the assist list. Maybe they think Sue would have been better on the wing..? 😲
Go Huskies..!!

Thank you, David, for your comments on Chrystal. She's having a great senior year and definitely is the leader of this team.
