While I'm suffering in 80 degree weather in Florida, Logan built this great snowman.
He actually rolled the bottom ball by himself!!
We managed to have a good time at the Delray Beach Art Festival
A reunion of the 1989-90 UConn team.

Well, that was better. I mean a LOT better. Yes, the competition was not as challenging as the last few games, but you still have to play to a certain level and they sure did that in this game.
It was great from the start and the Huskies didn't let up the entire 40 minutes. Every player contributed and the fact that UConn actually went deep into the bench was such a positive. It's not often that nine players get double digit minutes in a game.
I'll probably put together a full post game report with pictures, interviews, quotes and of course my take on the performance. The game was so much fun, I might even watch it again! In the meantime, here are a few thoughts about the game....
While Megan Walker led the team in scoring with 24 points, my player of the game is Anna Makurat. She was just outstanding in this game. She hit threes, she drove to the basket, she dished assists, grabbed rebounds. Just a complete game in the second most minutes on the team with 29 where she scored 21 points.
While I have missed the boat in several of my predictions, I think I nailed this one.
"Elliott does have 26 blocked shots so I would imagine she might get one or two in this game. "
She had 2.
"I expect UConn to try to feed ONO and look for hard drives to the basket by Walker, Williams and Dangerfield. I would be we see valuable minutes from Griffin in this game as well."
They fed ONO early. Griffin played solid minutes.
"UConn has been in a big shooting slump that is eventually going to end. Will it be this game? I have a sneaking suspicion that it will be."
14-23 on threes? I'd say they broke out of their slump.
"The defense is getting better and better and that does not bode well for the scoring inept Tulsa team. And they don't have the players to play anywhere near the defense that has been thrown at UConn the past two games. Add in this being a home game and couple of days in between games to get things going in the right direction and it's a recipe for a big offensive game for UConn."
UConn 92 Tulsa 38

I'd say this was about right.

A great 92-34 drubbing of Tulsa should get the Huskies back on track and ready for Tennessee on Thursday..! The stats were fabulous and sequential.
10 - UConn made 10 free throws. (77%)
11 - the Huskies limited their turnovers to 11.
12 - Megan took just 12 shots to reach her 24 points.
13 - Tulsa shot just 13% from three range. (4-30)
14 - UConn nailed 14 threes, a season high.
15 - Tulsa has only 15 baskets all game.
16 - Molly played 16 minutes, also a season high.
Some stats were not so sequential. 😉
5 - Points for Tulsa in 2nd period.
6 - Points for Tulsa in 1st period.
7 - Number of threes taken by Anna. Season high.
8 - Number of made baskets by Anna.
Ok, all the stats today were perfectly in order. Except 92 which was UConn’s point total. 😎
Go Huskies..!!
