I can't wait for this game to be played. All season long I've heard over and over that UConn doesn't deserve to be No. 1 in the country. From the fans, the pundits and even Geno and Chris.

It won't make this the final say on the subject, but it would go a long way in legitimizing UConn's claim to be No. 1.

I just want to add that Olivia Nelson-Ododa and Megan Walker were both added to the midseason Wooden watch list. That make four UConn players on the list as Crystal Dangerfield and Christyn Williams are also on the list. Baylor has two players, Lauren Cox and Juicy Landrum.

So, next time someone tells you Baylor has more talent? Remind them of this list.

UConn is scoring 80.6 points per game through 12 games. Over the last six games, that average rises to 86.2 per game. Clearly, the offense has the ability to score lots of points. But, is that scoring concentrated or can all the starters score? Actually, all of the first 7 players can score. Here are the high point games for each of the top 7 players:

Megan = 29 points

Crystal = 23 points

Christyn = 24 points

Olivia = 27 points

Kyla = 14 points

Aubrey = 25 points

Anna = 10 points

Obviously, these high water marks for points by each player were spread over the first 12 games. But, as anyone can see, everyone is capable of leading the team in scoring in a particular game. Just for fun, if every player matched their high against Baylor, the total points scored would be 152..!!
