Congrats to Anna and thank you to the American Conference for using a picture of Anna with her backhanded flip basket.

Is this the beginning of something big? She is one hell of a player.

And Megan wins the Player of the Week for the AAC for the third time this season. She is on her way to becoming the POY. She looks so fit in this picture.

Image result for Tennessee UConn

Big game Thursday night and I probably won't watch it live. For one thing, I'm going out to dinner with friends and won't be home in time. The other thing is that I'm not good watching games when I'm nervous about the result. I don't know how I will react if the Huskies lose.

This rivalry has been dormant on the court, but not as much in the world of message boards. Tennessee fans still bring up lies about Geno and what happened with the cancellation of the series. They insist that Geno trashed Pat to recruits and gave an apartment and the ability to sell her handbags to Maya Moore's mother.

I'm still shocked that Geno agreed to this home and home series. Never thought it would happen. I kinda wish it didn't. But it's here. And here is my Pregame Report.  I predict a 12 point win, but I'm hoping for 40.

Here is an interview with Tennessee coach Kellie Harper talking about the UConn game.

Image result for stats don't lie

By David in Naples!!!!

ESPN has a piece out explaining why Sabrina Ionescu is the best player in women's college basketball. This is not news, because they said the same thing before the season ever started. So, is Ionescu the best in the game right now?  Maybe, since she is darn good. But, first a quick quiz.

1. Does Sabrina average more points a game than Megan Walker?
2. Does she lead her team in scoring and rebounds?
3. Is her NISE off the charts?

1. Sabrina has scored 295 points in 17 games. That averages 17.4 per game. Megan has scored 349 points in 17 games or 20.5 per game. Advantage Megan.
2. Ionescu does lead her team in scoring, but is 2nd in rebounds by only 4 boards. Megan leads her team in scoring, but is 2nd in rebounding by only 4 boards. Tie.
3. Ionescu has a NISE of +25. (295 points - 225 shots - 45 free throws = 25)  Megan has a NISE of +9/ Advantage Sabrina.

Oregon is 15-2 with loses to Louisville and Arizona State by 16 total points. Megan has led the Huskies to a record of 16-1 with a loss to Baylor by 16 points. The point is not that Megan is the best player in the country. Nobody is the best player in the country until the season is over and if Ionescu is so obviously way better than everyone else, why aren't her stats super, super great? And why is Oregon ranked #6 with 2 losses..?

Too early to tell who is the best this year, either best player or best team.

Go Huskies..!!
